The Furry Dogmother agrees to provide and perform pet care services as requested by the client.
I will care for your pet(s) as if they were my own and, whilst I make every effort to ensure pet(s) are well looked after in your absence, I cannot be held liable for any loss, injury or death to your pet(s) either inside or outside the home whilst in my care.
In the event of adverse weather conditions, I reserve the right to use my best judgement in caring for your pet(s) and home.
In the event of an emergency such as illness or injury to your pet(s), I will administer appropriate first aid and if necessary, will take your pet(s) to your registered Veterinarian or an alternative if your own is not available. Where possible, I will attempt to communicate with the emergency contact given or the client prior to any action being taken. However, I reserve the right to use my best judgement and may approve any emergency Veterinary treatment and will expect full reimbursement of any costs incurred in that event from the client.
I will use the key to the client's property that is provided to collect and return the pet(s) or to provide animal care as agreed and for no other purpose. I will keep any keys in a safe and secure place and will not let anyone else have them or copy them and will return them to the client on demand or on termination of the contract.
I will inform the client of any incident or anything that I notice (either behavioural or health-related) about the pet(s) which I believe the client should be aware of. Please note that I am not veterinary trained and any concerns that I raise with the owner should always be checked by a qualified Veterinary Surgeon.
The Furry Dogmother will not be held liable for any pre-existing conditions and health issues found on an animal in my care. Any advice given to owners regarding health concerns should be checked and verified by a qualified Veterinary Surgeon.
Clients agree to inform The Furry Dogmother of any illness, injury or behavioural problems with their pet(s) before commencement of any service. The Furry Dogmother reserves the right at any time to terminate services should the nature of the condition be unable to be adequately catered for.
I will keep dogs on a lead while out walking unless the owner has given express consent to allow the dog(s) off lead in open spaces. I will take care so far as is practicable to ensure the dog(s) is not a nuisance or danger to any person, or other animals and that no harm comes to any member of the public or the dog(s). I will supply plastic bags and will use these on all walks to remove any faeces and ensure the dog(s) does not foul any public or private place.
I will ensure that any pet(s) that travels in my vehicle is secured in a crate suitable for the size of the animal. I will also make sure that ventilation and water is given during hot periods of weather during any trip. My vehicle is adequately insured however, I cannot be held responsible for any injury to your pet(s) should a road traffic accident occur while they are in my vehicle.
During grooming sessions, if a dog's coat is badly matted or neglected, it may be in the dog's best interest if the fur is clipped off rather than being de-matted. Owners will be informed prior to clipping in this situation. The owner should be aware that some irritation can occur from shaving very close to the dog's skin on a heavily matted coat in areas such as the groin and armpits. The owner agrees that The Furry Dogmother shall not be held liable for any after grooming effects of matt clipping procedures or problems "uncovered" on a badly matted or neglected coat.
The Furry Dogmother reserves the right to refuse to groom any dog for the safety of the groomer and the dog. The owner agrees to inform The Furry Dogmother prior to grooming, if the dog has a history of aggressive behaviour and if the dog has bitten before. The owner understands that they will be held liable for all bites caused by their dog should they have neglected to inform The Furry Dogmother beforehand of its history.
Owners agree to ensure their pet(s) have had all necessary vaccinations and are treated regularly for fleas and worms. The Furry Dogmother will not be held liable for any illness, flea or worm infestation that occurs whilst a pet(s) is in her care.
It is the owner's responsibility to ensure their pet is adequately insured.
Clients will provide all pet(s) food, bowls, lead, collar, harness, coat, muzzle, toys and any other items relating to the care of their pet(s) for the duration of the agreed contract of care.
I hold adequate Public Liability insurance for all the services I am providing and a copy of the certificate may be viewed by clients at any time upon request.
Cancellation of any service is subject to a minimum of 24 hours notice from the client. Where this notice is not given, clients will be liable to pay the full charge of that service.
Upon agreement of any service, The Furry Dogmother will ask all clients to sign a copy of these Terms and Conditions. Clients agree that this is their valid approval for services provided and The Furry Dogmother will permit acceptance of future telephone and email reservations without the need for additional contracts or written authorisations.
